about.
A redesign of Zazie’s restaurant website focused on clarifying its brand, improving navigation, and creating a more convenient online reservation experience across mobile and desktop platforms.

problem.
Zazie’s existing digital experience did not clearly communicate the restaurant’s identity, and its reservation journey relied heavily on third-party services. Customers needed a clearer way to understand the restaurant, explore its offerings, and reserve a table, particularly for popular brunch periods and larger groups.

user flow.
visual identity & design system.
We developed a responsive design system inspired by Zazie’s existing visual identity and physical environment. The colour palette, typography, imagery, and interface components preserve the restaurant’s welcoming character while creating a more consistent and accessible experience across mobile and desktop.

reflections & takeaways.
This project strengthened my ability to translate an established brand into a cohesive digital experience. Redesigning Zazi’s website involved improving the information architecture, simplifying the reservation journey, and creating a responsive experience across mobile and desktop. Building reusable components helped maintain visual consistency and made the design system more scalable. Working collaboratively also reinforced the value of shared standards and clear communication throughout the design process.
